This book is a great introduction to the movie and it brings out several aspects of it that I had missed watching it on my own. However, the film premiered in the United States [1] as The Blood on Satan's Claw and in the United Kingdom [2] as Blood on Satan's Claw.

However, following low ticket sales, the film was pulled from the theatre after showing for only one week.Since this is an example of what has been classified as “folk horror” the landscape does indeed play a key role.
