While it is good and all, and you can't possibly damage the headlamp by sticking battery in reverse, you can be smart and try stick a magnet in the "-" side and then put the battery. I imagine this light would appeal most to campers and backpackers that need to have their hands free, but for me, the greatest appeal is when working on cars. To keep it simple, I’ve just done runtimes on the two highest modes (“Highest” and “High”) in both 100% spot and 100% flood, as well as the first 10 minutes of the Turbo mode, which lights up both emitters.
The only way to lock the HC68 out appears to be to loosen the battery cap slightly for a physical lockout. The headlamp offers a spot and floodlight adjustable design which is operated by the dual switches on the top of the light.
