About this deal

Oh, how I loathed Milikia from the beginning. Although she shames Naoya for two-timing, everyone The main character Mari, is one of the most emotionally complicated (different from other means of making a complex character) and troubled character I have ever seen. Emotional complexity comes from trying to understand why you feel the way you do, it’s feeling having a contradiction between the way you feel and the way you rationally think would be the best way to feel, it’s questioning your own motivations and intentions in the interactions you have with others. To some it might seem melodramatic but, that is the essence of creating great internal struggle, which is relatable in multitude of different ways.

Season 1 adapted up until approximately volume 4 chapter 36 of the original manga, meaning that there could be up to four seasons of the anime if the current pacing is maintained. While fans will be delighted to hear that Girlfriend Girlfriend is returning for a second season, not many would have been too surprised to hear about the renewal. So what makes KmK good compared to other dumb, "low-effort" harem romcoms out there? For example, what's different about it compared to something like Osamake? It's hard to explain. Maybe it's the fact that KmK actually feels like a genuine parody of harem—as opposed to a series that only claims to be a parody while unironically being the exact thing that it attempts to make fun of (Osamake, for instance). The scenarios in KmK are also far more outlandish, with each scenario constantly one-upping the earlier one in terms of ridiculousness. Everything about the show feels like the most cliched trope you could ever imagine—just amplified to an unthinkable extent. The dialogues are also witty and well-crafted, showcasing the characters' personalities and adding to the overall charm of the story. The combination of these elements creates a unique and engaging experience for the reader. a b カノジョも彼女(16) (in Japanese). Kodansha. Archived from the original on May 22, 2023 . This rancid experience does come with its bright spots. Production-wise, Kanokano benefits from a rather pleasant job. It's baffling that such a travesty would follow an otherwise successful streak for Tezuka Productions, a studio fresh off works such as "Dororo" and 2020's phenomenal "Adachi to Shimamura." The latter show's chief director and head director bring the same quirky visual identity to Kanokano, with a comic-book aesthetic and pastel colors. The series is also capable of nailing comedic timing and visual jokes that embrace the absurdity on-screen. Voice actors are the liferaft for the sinking 'ship(s) of Kanokano. Lines are delivered (and often shouted) with the crazy conviction the script requires. These VAs absolutely sell their lines and do their utmost to elevate some incomprehensibly crap material. For all the garbage persistent throughout the series, Kanokano at least executes its ideas relatively well. But if you ask me, it's a bit like polishing a turd. Hahari is the richest among the girls. She is so rich that she bribed the highest-ranking medical staff to help her carry out artificial insemination at 13 years old. After becoming Rentarou's girlfriend, Hahari bought his whole school and made herself the chairwoman so she can be with him. a b c d e f Hodgkins, Crystalyn (March 28, 2021). If you are told that this one of the better yuri mangas, then you'll probably expect too much. For me yuri is basically a more challenging romance, the thing is that this manga's focus isn't the romantic relationship, but the daily lives of our couple. In essence this is a Slice of Life manga about high school teenage girls doing their best to be cute through appearances. If you like conversations about cute make up, cute shopping, cute dresses, cute hairdos, cute faces, cute school events and basically cute girls doing cute (commercialized) things, this is the manga for you. This is so because the in Japanese). Kodansha. Archived from the original on September 5, 2021 . Retrieved September 1, 2021. Of course, after this comes the conclusion, which is Saki accepting that Naoya is a shithead that won’t rest until he gets his harem ending, which is in character for him, Nagisa supporting him no matter what because it is in character for her, Shino wanting to be there too because it is in character for her, and Saki accepting by getting overwhelmed by peer pressure because it is in character for her. This whole mess was actually solved in the same way the manga has been going, but I was in fact paying it some kind of actual attention. Of course, the whole thing of Mirika getting rejected goes as well as you would expect, after all, the whole manga was created under the premise of “what if I write a story where everyone wins?”, and so after some chapters of drama with Mirika, she also accepts being part of the harem, which feels forced as that is against her whole character across the manga. The cast consists of the most surface-level cardboard characters (Hot-headed Tsundere's, Busty pink-haired Onee-san's and socially- awkward Loli's) that have nothing that makes them stand out from thousands of anime before it.Despite their competitive nature, the female characters also have moments of genuine camaraderie and support for one another. This dynamic adds depth to their relationships and makes them more relatable to the reader. The protagonist is such a un-interesting plank of wood he has to literally cheat and get a god to brainwash the girl's he encounters to blindly fall for him, which is already rather ethically questionable...and by doing so removes any of the tension and fun banter that a harem dynamic usually provides. And I left Mirika left for a specific reason that I will get to in the next paragraph, without a doubt I’ll say she was my favourite, but definitely not from the start. The why is very easy to see, because she has a reason to be with Naoya that’s not as dumb as the other: because she already wanted to be his girlfriend. That’s it. She did it on a whim, and that honestly made me think of her as bad as the others, however as time passed, I was getting more endeared to her. I mean, isn’t this girl a bad person? She literally kidnapped the MC 2 times and drugged him once, this girl is crazy, but aside from that stuff, I noticed that whenever she went on a date with Naoya, it seemed like the moments were a bit less comical, in fact, those were maybe the only dates I could take seriously even before getting a fondness towards her. And at this point, I’m overselling her to you, because she is as dumb as the other characters too and has as much self-love as what you would expect from a girl in a harem series, but here’s the catch, after she actually fell in love with Naoya for actual reasons, she wanted to monopolize him, she wanted Naoya for herself, which is natural even in this kind of series, but when your competition are these other girls, then maybe being of a regular kind isn’t that bad. Naoya just got a girlfriend, the gorgeous Saki-chan, and though their intensities often pit them against each other like ice and fire, they’re totally, uncontrollably in love with each other. He vows never to cheat…when out of the blue he receives another confession! Nagisa’s cute, sweet, and she’s made him lunch to boot! He knows he can’t cheat, but he can’t let a cutie like this get away…so he does the logical(?) thing: Asks Saki for permission to date them both! The confidence! The arrogance! The very gall! No matter the outcome, Naoya’s future will be lively!” a b Hodgkins, Crystalyn (March 25, 2023).
